Operating principles
Cat® dynamic UPS systems can operate alone or integrated with a generator set. Integrating Cat® UPS systems with generator sets guarantees optimal sizing and synchronisation of both systems.When the utility grid is present: it supplies critical load through the filtration system of the Cat ® UPS and allows storing of kinetic energy on dynamic UPS flywheel. Cat ® UPS eliminates any disturbance.
When the utility grid disappears: the dynamic UPS flywheel returns energy instantly to the critical load as an alternating electric current.
When the utility grid returns to normal, Cat ® UPS synchronizes and connects to it, the utility grid resuming uninterrupted critical load supply. Dynamic CAT UPS flywheel recharges.
